ABOUT THE ENTREPRENEUR
My name is Chris Landano and I am a retired New York city firefighter and forensic photographer. A near death experience propelled me to create Trakbelt360, A Tool Belt Like No Other. A few years back while working as a forensic photographer, I responded to a building collapse with reports of people trapped. I crawled on my hands and knees with a group of rescue firefighters who were going to search for people trapped. The scene was unsafe and some areas of the building was still collapsing. As a fire department photographer, my job at that time was to photograph the search and rescues. Once the search was completed, I started making my way out of the danger zone, but became trapped when part of my gear got tangled on debris in the collapse zone. As I was untangling myself from the debris, the idea for Trakbelt360 came to me and that’s how it was invented.
